FIRST TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN ALBACETE, SPAIN

1st  Transnational Meeting in Albacete (5-11/11/2017)

Sunday, 5th November

We all arrived in Albacete after long, tiring  journeys, but the warmth of the welcome of the Spanish colleagues revitalized us. It was the beginning of new experiences and new friendships.

Monday, 6th November

We were driven from Albacete to IES Rio Jucar. The students and the Erasmus+ team were all waiting for us and they showed us around the school. At 10 o?clock we got to the meeting classroom where each partner presented their country, their school  and educational system, and opinions on educational matters were exchanged. After a short break we moved on to a close look and discussion on the Erasmus+  project, during which we sorted out our first questions.

After a short visit to Madrigueras Primary School, we returned to IES Rio Jucar, where we met the local Authorities over traditional delicacies.

Tuesday, 7th November

Tuesday was a very busy day. After a short drive we were in IES Rio Jucar .We fully analyzed the objectives of the Project and the project activities schedule. This made clear that meetings among teachers are essential, because issues that thought to be clear, turned out to be tricky, and only through personal contact can misunderstandings be solved. The meeting lasted for 3 hours .At noon we returned to Albacete, where at 3 we met again in order to attend a 4-hour training in Neurodidactics and Active Methodologies, which is directly linked to our Erasmus+ Project title. The Training seminar took place in the Education Faculty of Castilla La Mancha University, in the Campus of Albacete.

Wednesday,8th November

We arrived at the school in Madrigueras at 09.00 and we touched upon the acquired commitments of the project and the application of these commitments, as well as the project promotion and visibility. It was agreed to create one webpage for all participant countries. Each of the country will have to upload the material, so as to make the progress known to others and to the public. Etwinning and the social media will be also involved. During the short break we attended a public event at school, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which gave us the chance to talk to more students and teachers and exchange views on various matters.

The Project meeting continued and we moved on to talks on economic management,   mobilities and FEMAC.At about 18.00 we completed the meeting and we were driven to Chinchilla, where our Spanish colleagues  let us know the history of the town and the region in general, and showed us around this picturesque town.

Thursday, 9th November

This day was dedicated to Toledo, which we visited. Our Spanish colleagues had prepared a tour around the most important buildings of Toledo. We admired its architecture, the variety of styles and the importance of this real jewel in the world history.

Friday, 10th  November

The last project meeting took place at the building of  the Department For Education in Albacete. A dissemination of the project was made and we all signed the summary of the topics discussed and the decisions that were taken during this meeting, in a form of a contract among the participants.

The last details about the next coordination meeting in Greece were discussed too, before going back to the hotel and leave, as some of us had to go back to Valencia or Alicante to spend the night, due to early flights on Saturday.
